Jeffrey Brown’s Hulk Teach! get’s middle-grader’s seal of approval

By Anonymous Reviewer on August 8, 2025 ages 8 & up, graphic novel, Middle Grade

HULK TEACH! (ORIGINAL MARVEL GRAPHIC NOVEL), by Jeffrey Brown, Graphix, Aug. 5, 2025, Paperback, $12.99 (ages 8-12)

Hulk Teach! by Jeffrey Brown is a really funny and interesting story.

Dr. Bruce Banner, AKA the Hulk, has to do community service because the Hulk destroyed too many things in the last battle. Banner ends up teaching 8 elementary school kids who the other teachers can’t really seem to teach. Of course, it’s hard for Banner to teach them, too, because the kids keep setting off the Hulk.

With legal issues, a rude teacher with big hats, and the most important exam in the school looming over Banner, will he and Hulk work together to help these kids learn the things they need to, and ultimately, win the pizza party prize the principal had promised to the class with the best scores?

It’s creative that the Hulk and his word bubbles are green, whilst the rest of the book is black and white. I think that it makes him stand out more!

    Read HULK TEACH!

*Editor’s note: I did not expect my 11-year-old girl (AKA Anonymous Reviewer) to fall in love with Hulk Teach! but she certainly did, reading it twice when it first arrived and borrowing it again to read three more times. She loved it and wants to read more graphic novels like it. High praise, indeed.
