THE EVERYTHING TRAIL, by Meg Fleming, Chuck Groenink, Beach Lane Books, Aug. 26, 2025, Hardcover, $19.99 (ages 4-8)
Journey through the forest with a group of young explorers in The Everything Trail, a picture book by Meg Fleming and Chuck Groenink.
The wind waves its hand.
The trees take a bow.
Everything’s big.
And everything’s small…
From giant redwoods to tiny saplings, steep canyons to shallow creeks, and soaring eagles to crawling critters, there are endless wonders to discover along a trail through the forest. This sweeping story of a day spent in nature will inspire young readers to soak in all the marvels, big and small, that surround them. —Synopsis provided by Beach Lane Books
Told in a mostly two-page vertical format, The Everything Trail celebrates children’s wonder as they explore every rock, twig and plant in front of them. Meg Fleming’s bouncy text is echoed by Chuck Groenink’s joyful illustrations that take advantage of every viewpoint.
While the publisher’s suggested age range is 4-8, I think it skews a little younger, ages 3-6.
