We are big fans of the Big Fat Notebook series from Workman Publishing. The series offers 16 accessible study guides for middle and high school subjects like Math, Science, U.S. History and ELA. Each one I’ve perused has been fantastic, and, more importantly, my kid has loved each one she’s gotten her hands on. And when she saw this STEM box set, she started salivating.

The books are designed to hold interest. With bright colors, doodles, step-by-step instructions and more, these are intended to get more than a quick look. You expect them to get used. They are great supplements to the classroom and offer another way of learning for kids who struggle with traditional methods.
