My 12-year-old Wings of Fire fan saw this book and started salivating. She loved that in addition to the instructions, a primer of sorts for each dragon type is included. Each primer includes information on scales, eyes, unusual characteristics, abilities, habitat and diet. A brief introduction of each individual dragon is also included. My daughter said the instructions are clear, but you do have to be precise. Some of the dragons fly better than others. Overall, it’s a great gift option for fans of the series.

This simple origami set takes a little patience and offers a big payoff. Once you get used to making each item, the folding becomes much faster and more accurate. It’s nice that this set includes more than the wishing stars, although they are fun on their own. The cat rings are particularly fun. This is a good gift option for creative kids who enjoy using their hands.
