    There’s lots of exciting things going on in the middle-reader, YA worlds. Below are some links to some of what’s going on.

    • The LA Times has an awesome story about why it’s OK to love YA lit at any age. Check it out here.
    • The American Booksellers Association has announced the finalists for the 2011 Indies Choice Book Awards, now including the E.B. White Read-Aloud Awards. Check out all the details and see if your favorite book/author made the cut here.
    • Each Sunday, Charlotte, at Charlotte’s Library, posts a roundup of middle-grade science fiction and fantasy posts from around the blogs. Check out her roundup here.
    • HarperTeen, took North American rights to a dystopian trilogy by debut novelist Tahereh Mafi. The first book is titled “Shatter Me” and is scheduled for release Nov. 15, 2011. Read more about the deal here.
