Taylor Swift’s songs are inspiration for 13 Little Love Stories

13 LITTLE LOVE STORIES: An anthology inspired by Taylor Swift songs, G.P. Putnam’s Sons Books for Young Readers, June 30, 2026, Paperback, $12.99 (young adult)

Bestselling authors from across the YA spectrum join together for 12 contemporary romance short stories inspired by Taylor Swift in 13 Little Love Stories.

If you could live inside one Taylor Swift song for a day, which would you pick? In this shimmering anthology, thirteen acclaimed, bestselling authors do just that, reimagining some of Taylor’s most iconic songs as love stories.

Whether you’re in an era of fairy lights and folktales or diss tracks and dance floors, here’s a playlist that features all the hits: The soaring high note of first love. The minor key of heartbreak. And the steady rhythm of true friendship and self-discovery.

As clever and unforgettable as the songs that inspired them, these stories are sure to play on repeat in your head and your heart. —Synopsis provided by G.P. Putnam’s Sons Books for Young Readers

13 Little Love Stories is an anthology featuring works by Elise Bryant, Jennifer Dugan, J. Elle, Jessica Goodman, Sloan Harlow, Crystal Maldonado, Krystal Marquis, Katharine McGee, Julie Murphy, Lynn Painter, Laura Sebastian, Sara Shepard, and Jesse Q. Sutanto.

Each of the stories in the anthology are tied to a Taylor Swift song and feature a romance on some level.

As is the case with any collection of stories, some are stronger than others, and there are some that could be more successfully expanded into something longer. I almost wish that there was room for the authors to craft stories with more depth and emotion. However, the brief length creates a light-hearted feel many are looking for.

While the big draw here is the Swift tie-in, it’s not imperative that you are familiar with all of her songs. It is fun, however, to listen to the associated song before and after reading each story. It adds another layer to the experience.

13 Little Love Stories is a cute, fast-moving collection of short stories that tug on heartstrings.
