ROBIN AND THE MOON, by E. B. Goodale, Harry N. Abrams, Oct. 13, 2026, Hardcover, $16.99 (ages 3-6)
A little boy sets out on a dreamy adventure to save the moon in Robin and the Moon, written and illustrated by E. B. Goodale.
Out the bedroom window, Robin noticed the moon all tangled up in the branches of a tree. The moon is stuck!
“Don’t worry about the moon,” Mama soothed. But Robin was worried.
As Robin drifts off to sleep, bedtime anxieties fade into a dreamy nighttime adventure . . . Can little Robin free the big moon? —Synopsis provided by Harry N. Abrams
Robin and the Moon is the third book in a series by E. B. Goodale that explores the little adventures that seem big for the smallest of readers.
Robin and the Moon is a delightful read to which parents of little ones will immediately relate. The simple questions, the big imaginations. It’s a delight. Goodale’s use of color and white space is excellent. And the lovely little adventure is perfect for the intended audience.
I look forward to reading the first book, Robin and the Stick, and the third, Robin and the Flowers (February 2027). If they’re anything like Robin and the Moon, I wouldn’t hesitate recommending them as gifts.
